R-FEUS
Die Portraitserie entstand im Rahmen einer Projektförderung durch die Stiftung Kulturwerk der VG Bild-Kunst. Sie zeigt die Protagonisten der antiken Sage »Orpheus und Eurydike«, einer Erzählung über das Finden/Verlieren von Liebe und die Kraft der Musik. Abgeleitet vom universellen Charakter der Geschichte finden sich in der Arbeit bildnerische Zitate verschiedener Epochen und Kulturen. Der Titel »R-feus« ergab sich durch einen Versprecher.
This series of portraits was created as part of a project funded by the Stiftung Kulturwerk der VG Bild-Kunst. It shows protagonists of the ancient myth »Orpheus and Eurydice«, a story about finding/losing love and the power of music. Derived from the universal character of the story, the work contains pictorial quotations from various epochs and cultures. The title »R-feus« was the result of a slip of the tongue.
